Is it okay for masculine men to cry? I believe so, for sure! This is one perfect example.

Kevin Ware played a key role in this season for Louisville's basketball team. In the elite 8 he had one of the worst injuries anyone has ever seen. He broke his leg, but it was alot worse than that. This is a interview with Kevin after his surgery on his thoughts about his teamates and about the upcoming final four. I thought it was a great video, and shows true masculine emotion. Some people dont think men should cry, but this is so real and how things should be.

Enjoy,

  1. Thanks for sharing Davis.

It is important for us to note how typical emotional expressions are also part of the makeup of "masculinity." Showing emotion, and most certainly crying in particular, have long been said to be the exact opposite of masculinity. What we have to do now is figure out: a) why and has this changed? (because your video shows clearly that this has changed! crying is okay~) b) what are the implications of the change? (here, we can ask many more detailed questions - are only some guys allowed to cry and still be masculine? Is it only okay to cry if it pertains to sports and teammates? etc. etc. etc.)
